Abstract
This describes an update of a hierarchically-structured Bayesian model of long term regional trends in recreational effort, initially developed in 2005 based primarily on boat ramp survey data. The updated model was adapted to incorporate web camera based counts of boats returning to boat ramps. The standardised indices of boating effort generated from this web camera data based model are consistent with those obtained from the boat ramp survey model over the same time period.
