Abstract
Describes the stock assessment and management procedure evaluations of lobsters in CRA 1, using the length-based multi-stock model, MSLM, fitted to CPUE, size frequency and tagging data. MCMC simulations were used to explore parameter uncertainty. Current biomass is assessed to be well above Bmin, Bmsy and Bref. Management procedures were "plateau step" rules tested with 18 alternative operating models, with final candidates presented to the National Rock Lobster Management Group.
