Abstract
Describes operational management procedures (MPs) used for the 2015–16 fishing year to manage New Zealand stocks of red rock lobsters (Jasus edwardsii ). MPs are extensively simulated-tested decision rules; for every valid value of the input CPUE they return a Total Allowable Commercial Catch, TACC. There are now eight rock lobster stocks with management procedures: only CRA 6 is managed without one.
