Abstract
Catch sampling for length and age composition was undertaken from the TRE 7 bottom trawl fishery during the 2009–10 fishing year. The fishery comprised a broad range of fish of various sizes and ages, despite more than 80% of the landed catch, by number, being less than 13 years of age. An investigation into spatial differences in length and age found heterogeneity exists within TRE 7, confirming previous findings of an increasing size and age of trevally down a latitudinal cline.
