Abstract
This report describes the 2010 Marlborough Sounds potting survey of relative abundance, population length and age structure, and stock status of blue cod. Observations of blue cod from remote drift video transects were compared with the 2010 potting survey catches. Analyses included catch rates, catch-at-age, total mortality (Z), and spawner-per-recruit (SPR). Historical surveys of Marlborough Sounds (2001, 2004, and 2007) and Cook Strait (2008) were also analysed and time series comparisons made.
