Abstract
Stock assessments are presented for ling in LIN 7CK (Cook Strait) and LIN 7WC (west coast South Island), for the 2012–13 fishing year. The current status of the LIN 7CK stock is unknown, and the assessment was considered unsuitable for providing management advice. The current status and estimate of absolute virgin biomass for the LIN 7WC stock is highly uncertain, but current stock size is estimated to be well above the management target of 40% B0.
