Abstract
This report summarises a stock assessment of the Bounty Platform for the period 1990–2011 using catch history, proportion-at-age, and acoustic survey data. Estimates of adult biomass from aggregation surveys showed a sevenfold increase from 2006 to 2007 followed by a fivefold decrease to 2009. Four alternate model runs were developed, with different catchability coefficient assumptions, providing estimates of B2011 ranging from 31 000–81 000 t. The results were not used for management advice.
