For 1990 to 2001 the standardised index declines for the first four years, then increases, with a drop in the last year. For 2002 to 2014 the standardised index shows a slow decline from 2002 to 2012 with a slight increase since then.
As the standardised index shows little contrast since 2002, and there is little growth data available for PAU 2, stock assessment model estimates of biomass would be highly uncertain (and it was decided that a full stock assessment should not be undertaken for the area).
