Abstract

A Specialist Technical Workshop was held on 18-22 March 2019, primarily to investigate the use of genetic methods for estimating population size and stock structure for fish species and marine mammals, and also to discuss other genetic applications to a lesser extent. The workshop reviewed the applicability of various techniques, their feasibility and their relative costs and benefits over other more conventional methodologies, or their utility for augmenting conventional methods.
