Abstract

This report presents descriptive analyses of the commercial fisheries for silver warehou (Seriolella punctata) in SWA 3 and SWA 4 (east coast South Island and Chatham Rise), from 1989–90 to the 2017–18 fishing year. Standardised catch-per-unit-effort (CPUE) indices for commercial bottom trawl fisheries catching silver warehou as bycatch in the barracouta (50–170 m depth) and hoki (400–800 m depth) fisheries are also presented.
