Abstract
This document describes the 2019 stock assessment of red rock lobsters (Jasus edwardsii) in CRA 3. The model was fitted to standardised catch per unit effort indices, size frequency, sex ratio, and tag-recapture observations. Model inference for this assessment was based on maximum a posteriori fits and MCMC simulations. The stock assessment suggests that the stock has declined since 2013 and is projected to further decline at current levels of catch and assuming recent recruitment patterns.
