Estimates of reference and current biomass are not available.
For all Fishstocks, it is not known if recent landings or TACC’s are at levels which will allow the stocks to move towards a size that will support the maximum sustainable yield.
From 2002–03 to 2006-07 catches in WAR 3 were well above the TACC as fishers landed catches well in excess of ACE holdings. Deemed values were increased from 1 October 2007 and landings in WAR 3 in 2007-08 were much reduced to 684 t, well below the current TACC.
