Abstract
This report presents estimates of incidental captures of seabirds in commercial trawl and longline fisheries in New Zealand’s Exclusive Economic Zone. Estimates were derived based on the development of statistical models that incorporated fishing effort and observer data. The report updates existing information of seabird bycatch in New Zealand waters, including the 2013–14 fishing year.
