For the Bounty Platform southern blue whiting stock, a simple harvest control rule (HCR) was evaluated using a model that simulates long-term single-species stock dynamics, monitoring using an industry acoustic survey, and management decisions on the TACC. Uncertainty in model parameters and acoustic surveys was allowed for. Performance was evaluated against the chance of mid-year Bcurrent being below 20% B0 for no more than 10% of the time over a 120 year projection period.
